Biografia
Sir Simon Russell Beale ha ricevuto l'istruzione presso la St Pauls Cathedral Choir School e il Clifton College di Bristol. Dopo la laurea in Inglese alla Cambridge University, ha iniziato il percorso per diventare cantante d'opera prima di cambiare idea e diventare attore. Ha iniziato la carriera di attore alla The Royal Court, per poi proseguire alla Royal Shakespeare Company per 8 anni. Da quel momento, ha lavorato 20 anni con il The National Theatre. Russell Beale non solo ha recitato in tutto il mondo, ma è apparso in premiati progetti per TV e cinema. Ha presentato molti programmi per la BBC sulla musica classica. Nel 2003 è stato insignito del titolo di CBE (Comandante dell'Ordine dell'Impero) al Queen's Birthday Honours, per i suoi servigi alle Arti. Nel 2019 Simon ha ricevuto il Cavalierato per i suoi servizi all'arte drammatica.
