Biografia
Alexander Reda is a Canadian Costume designer whose career spans more than twenty years in film and television. He studied fashion design at Ryerson University and following his graduation spent five years as a fashion designer selling his clothing lines across Canada. In 1991, Alexander transitioned into costuming work for CBC where he spent eight years working on numerous series and MOWs. In 1999 he left CBC to work as a freelance costume designer. His credits include The Last Debate for Showtime, My Louisiana Sky set in the 1950's starring Juliet Lewis and My Name is Tanino, a Canadian/Italian production starring Rachel McAdams. In 2001 Alexander designed the costumes for the mini-series Hemingway vs. Callaghan set in 1920 for which he won a Gemini Award. In 2004 Reda received a second Gemini Nomination for Black Widow a musical set in the 1940's starring Mary Margaret O'Hara. Alexander's other credits include Breakfast with Scott, TMN series Regenesis, Ken Finkelman's The Newsroom and Bookey's Mark starring Tatiana Maslany. Alexander designed for the feature films October Gale starring Patricia Clarkson and Tim Roth and Anti-Birth starring Chloe Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne. Alexander also completed numerous seasons of the hit television series Murdoch Mysteries which garnered him a Canadian Screen Award win in 2015 as well as a nomination in 2016. He also worked on the second season of the acclaimed series 'Anne with an E' for Netflix and CBC. Most recently, Alexander has completed Season 1 of October Faction for Netflix.
