I Personaggi della Terza Stagione
Ricky Whittle stars as Shadow Moon
In Season 1, Shadow Moon is released from prison to a life turned upside down. As Mr. Wednesday's bodyguard, Shadow journeys with him across America and finds himself questioning a world where gods exist and magic is real. In Season 2, he begins to understand this strange world of the gods and carve out a place in it as a believer, but it's far from a straight path. Now navigating the revelation that Wednesday is his father, he wonders about his own power. Is Shadow a god? Cryptic prophecies seem to confirm that he's destined for something greater. But what? From a new home base of Lakeside, Wisconsin, Shadow begins a spiritual journey guided by the gods of his black ancestors.
Ian McShane stars as Mr. Wednesday
Mr. Wednesday, a crafty and endlessly charismatic con man, is full of perverse wisdom, curious magic and grand plans to unite the Old Gods in a battle for power against the New Gods. But this season, a change in strategy is necessary, and Wednesday will be forced to reveal his vulnerability in order to keep Shadow within his sphere of influence.
Emily Browning as Laura Moon
Laura Moon is, of course, Shadow Moon's "dead wife." She's still looking for a chance to make things right, but it's no longer just about Shadow. There's Mad Sweeney to consider.
Revelations this season renew her thirst for personal revenge on Wednesday, and she's willing to do anything to succeed in her quest.
Yetide Badaki as Bilquis
Bilquis, an ancient goddess of love who craved the worship she inspired in eras long gone, finds relevance in today's world — thanks to Technical Boy's app — by turning her gift into a commodity. When she's linked to the disappearance of one of her worshippers, she's forced to question the nature of her divinity, a crisis that threatens her survival — until the unexpected appearance of the Orishas guides her to true power and purpose.
Bruce Langley stars as Technical Boy
Technical Boy, a New God, is purveyor of all things technological. As such, he struggles to remain on the cutting edge. After a disturbing encounter with Bilquis leaves Technical Boy dysfunctional and unable to rely on his skill set as a god, he starts to unravel the mystery of his true power. But will the answer come too late?
Omid Abtahi as Salim
Longing for inspiration and meaning in his life, an unexpected encounter with The Jinn while he's on a business trip in New York fulfilled that deepest wish and led him on an unforeseen journey. But now that The Jinn has left him, Salim is forced to reevaluate his nascent sexuality, launching him on a new path — one of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis
Mr. Ibis is the keeper of stories, past and present, and he recounts them with great relish. His old-fashioned sensibilities don't preclude a wry wit. Mr. Ibis remains a constant touchstone whose window into the past gives him insight into what the future may portend.
Peter Stormare as Czernobog
A Slavic god of darkness and evil, Czernobog remains wary of Mr. Wednesday's motivations, but he's joined the coming war to exact revenge for Zorya Vechernyaya's death. Wednesday promised a battle, and Czernobog will hold him to his pledge.
Crispin Glover, Dominique Jackson and Danny Trejo star as World
World, the seemingly omniscient leader of the New Gods, takes on various forms this season as s/he masterminds a new piece of technology capable of controlling human consciousness — potentially bringing World a swift victory in the brewing war with the Old Gods.
NEW CHARACTERS
Ashley Reyes as Cordelia Diaz
Cordelia was a whip-smart but rebellious college dropout facing mounting legal bills and student debt before Mr. Wednesday arrived in her life. Now, she road trips across the country, meeting her boss' eccentric friends and helping him with "tech stuff," unaware that she's caught up in a divine battle for the soul of America.
Marilyn Manson as Johan Wengren
As the front man for Viking Death Metal band Blood Death, Johan Wengren serves as a valuable source of power for Mr. Wednesday. What his fans don't know is that Johan is actually a berserker, an ancient Norse warrior with an uncontrollable lust for blood.
Julia Sweeney as Ann-Marie Hinzelmann
With a disarmingly warm nature, Ann-Marie Hinzelmann serves as a one-woman welcome wagon for Shadow upon his arrival in Lakeside. She's the owner of a small convenience store and a world-famous fishing-lure artisan. But her most treasured role is as Lakeside's selfappointed unofficial mayor, which she uses to strengthen and protect her beloved hometown in any way she can.
Eric Johnson as Chief Chad Mulligan
As chief of police in the sleepy town of Lakeside, Wisconsin, Chad Mulligan spends his days mediating disputes between townsfolk he's known his whole life. This trademark low-key diplomacy works well for Chad until a local teenage girl goes missing, igniting a wave of paranoia and blame that threatens to tear his beloved town apart.
Lela Loren as Marguerite Olsen
Despite not being native to Lakeside, Marguerite Olsen has become part of the fabric of the town as an intrepid reporter for the local paper, a committed single mother of two, and a nononsense property manager. In the wake of a bitter divorce, she's understandably guarded against emotional vulnerability. But when Shadow moves into her building, he begins to chip away at her defenses, uncovering a side to Marguerite she thought she'd locked away for good.
Denis O'Hare as Tyr
Dr. Tyrell is an avuncular pediatric dentist with a legendary gentle touch, delighting his young patients with his magic and stories. No one would ever guess that he is Tyr — the Norse God of War and Justice from whose name the day of the week, Tuesday, is derived. As Mr. Wednesday's oldest friend and brother-in-arms, Tyr is eager to join the Old Gods' war effort. But Mr. Wednesday fears that once the ancient warrior inside is released, no one will be able to control Tyr's righteous fury.
Blythe Danner as Demeter
Demeter, the Greek goddess of the harvest, has unresolved romantic history with Mr. Wednesday. But he has a bigger obstacle to overcome if he wants her help in his war effort — her involuntary commitment to a mental institution.
Herizen Guardiola as Oshun
Oshun is a Yoruba goddess of self-love, sweetness, and beauty, with a caring nature matched by a legendary temper. Brought to America by the slaves whom she uplifted and empowered to survive, Oshun and her pantheon of Orishas now play a mysterious but vital role in Shadow's spiritual awakening.
Wale as Chango
A fiery, silver-tongued Orisha, Chango is known for his selfless passion and warrior spirit. He serves as an important link to Shadow's unexplored past and, armed with two axes and an electrifying charisma, holds the potential to guide Shadow to his true place in the world of gods.
