TRAMA

Un neonato scompare in un parco e poco dopo viene ritrovato con segni di percosse. Ma in ospedale si scopre che ecchimosi e ferite risalgono a svariati giorni prima.

Lucy Prichard, 20 months old, is taken while playing at the park. She is found in the bushes with a laceration and has severe brain swelling. At first Huang and Stabler think it's a pedophile who did this. After the Doctor examines Lucy, she is diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome. Stabler concludes the attack happened between 12 and 48 hours earlier. Lucy's mother Evelyn blames the babysitter. However, the babysitter passed the polygraph with flying colors which leaves Evelyn as the one who hurt Lucy. Lucy is in a vegetative state and the only thing she can feel is pain. Evelyn can't stand to hear how much her daugher is suffering and admits she shook Lucy over and over until she stopped crying. They turn off the machines and baby Lucy died ten minutes later.
