TRAMA

Benson e Stabler indagano sulla scomparsa di una ragazza prossima al parto. Ma se prima si concentrano su un'ipotesi, poi sospettano dell'ex fidanzato. 

A pregnant woman goes missing leaving the SVU detectives with little more than a 911 call recorded during her abduction. The girl's doctor warns that she will die if she gives birth without medical supervision. Benson and Stabler are led to her ex-boyfriend who seems genuinely surprised to learn she is pregnant. The man is now engaged to a rich woman, a staunch contrast to that of the poor life he and his ex used to lead. The detectives see the motive for the ex-boyfriend was trying to rid his life of a past mistake. Turns out the elaborate abduction was planned by the fiancé's mother who never wanted her to marry the man in the first place. She saw the birth as a reason for her son-in-law to leave her daughter because her ex-husband did the same to her. Benson and Stabler track the girl down, but when she arrives at the hospital they are too late: her baby lives but she passes away.
