TRAMA

At a campsite, a man nicknamed Iron Hans speaks to a group of fathers and sons. He says this trip will help them reconnect with the natural world. As part of that, they will engage in a hunt. Soon, the men and boys are falling all over themselves trying to catch a rabbit as it darts away from them. Eventually, a boy named Elliott manages to grab it. They roast the rabbit over a campfire that night while Iron Hans talks to the boys about the meaning of being Wesen and experiencing your first woge. After seeing Iron Hans, his son Todd, and all of their fathers do it, the sons attempt to woge themselves. When one of them does, the entire camp cheers. Later that night, as the families sleep in their tents, Iron Hans tends to the fire. Shortly after, a nearby hitchhiker gets tackled by something in the dark and screams for his life. Meanwhile, a pajama-clad Renard gets hit with a stabbing pain in his chest. It sends him falling to the bed but when he checks to see if his wounds have opened again, there's no blood. He sips some water from a glass on his dresser. But when we see him again, he's standing next to a fountain and his hands are submerged in the water. Even weirder, he has no memory of how he got there. With no cure for Juliette in sight, Rosalee visits her in jail to see for herself how bad the situation has become. Much as Nick described her, Juliette is scornful that Nick couldn't give up being a Grimm for her but also has no desire to give up her own powers. Despite Rosalee's pleas that Nick loves her, Juliette isn't moved and abruptly ends their visit by walking away. When Nick and Hank arrive at the site of the dead hitchhiker, it's clear a Wesen is to blame. After snapping a photo of a paw print found near the body, Nick and Hank head to the Spice Shop to consult Monroe. He quickly identifies the print as Lowen and in typical Monroe fashion, offers to help Nick and Hank track it. As Adalind walks out of her hotel room, she overhears Prince Kenneth talking to the king about Renard. When Kenneth hangs up, she asks if Renard is going to be killed but Kenneth dodges the question. Instead, he offers up that Juliette's been arrested for assault. Adalind says she must be coming to terms with being a Hexenbiest then and Kenneth agrees, saying that she could be a great asset to them, especially given what she knows about Nick, his mother and Diana's kidnapping. Adalind is skeptical Juliette could be convinced to betray Nick, but Kenneth knows just what'll do it: Adalind being pregnant with his baby. Oh yes, Adalind, Kenneth worked out some time ago who the baby's real father is. Monroe says the scene around the hitchhiker's body looks like a hunt. He tracks the blood trail to a fence where the attacker crossed onto private property. Nick, Hank and Monroe pay a visit to the owners of the property, Iron Hans Ranch, and come face to face with Iron Hans - real name Albert - and Todd. After a few questions, Todd becomes defensive and questions Nick and Hank's detective skills. When Monroe woges to shut him up, Iron Hans and Todd respond by woging into Lowen, then see that Nick is a Grimm. Before anyone can get excited, Nick and Hank diffuse the situation, saying they're only here as part of their investigation. Todd's sister, Maggie, who overheard the commotion, joins the group then. Iron Hans explains that while Maggie stayed behind at the ranch, he and Todd took the group of fathers and sons to the camp. He offers to bring Nick, Hank and Monroe there, too. In her cell, Juliette watches a cockroach crawl across the wall while remembering her run-ins with Adalind. As it draws nearer to her, Juliette explodes the cockroach with her mind. The splatter joins several others on the wall. Her reverie comes to an end when the jailer announces her bail's been paid. As she leaves the precinct, Juliette walks right past a waiting Kenneth. He calls out to her and explains he's here to get Diana back and that he could use her help. When Juliette still isn't moved, Kenneth drops the bombshell about Adalind's pregnancy. As a shocked Juliette walks off, he offers to make her life a lot better in return for her help. Iron Hans shows Nick, Hank and Monroe the camp. He admits that the group went on a hunt but it was for a rabbit. The way of their ancestors, hunting humans, is a long one. But Iron Hans recognizes that Monroe once knew that life and now, he's made peace with himself and even works with a Grimm. Iron Hans invites Monroe to speak at the next camp. It proves to be the perfect reason for Monroe to spend more time around Iron Hans and Todd after questioning all of the fathers turns up no leads in the hitchhiker's death. After the fathers are sent home, Nick is called into the Captain's office, where Adalind is waiting for him, baby bump and all. When Nick says it's impossible for him to be the father, she reminds him of his wild afternoon with "Juliette." Adalind says she's already lost one child and she's determined not to lose another, which is why she needs protection from Juliette. Nick isn't interested until Adalind reveals a second secret: she knows how to help Juliette. There's no way to cure her but there is a way to suppress the Hexenbiest in her; Adalind's mother's aunt taught her how. It won't be easy and it requires one difficult ingredient to get, a dead Hexenbiest, but fortunately, Nick's mother took care of that when she killed Adalind's mother. Just when this conversation couldn't get more unsettling, Adalind's baby begins to kick and she tries to get Nick to feel him - it's a boy. Nick resists several times but finally lets Adalind place his hand on her belly… while Renard watches the entire thing in shock. With no other options, Nick agrees to bring Adalind to Rosalee. When he and Adalind exit the captain's office, with Adalind's baby bump on full display, Hank and Wu catch sight of them - and they're not the only ones. Juliette comes storming down the precinct hallway and sees Kenneth wasn't lying. Nick tries to tell Juliette he's only working with Adalind to help her but Juliette doesn't care. All she wants is to kill Adalind. But when Nick steps in front of Adalind to protect her, Juliette gets the message loud and clear. She returns to Kenneth and agrees to lure Nick's mom and Diana out of hiding. When Nick brings Adalind to the Spice Shop, Rosalee nearly loses her mind but admits that their best chance of helping Juliette is working alongside a Hexenbiest. Hank, who's been brought up to date on the latest events by the Captain, calls Nick then with more bad news: another body has been found. At Iron Hans's campsite, Monroe hangs back as the new batch of fathers and sons takes off for the hunt. He spies a Lowen run past him, woges, and chases after it. He stops when he thinks he's lost it but the Lowen takes him by surprise, throwing him to the ground and de-woging to reveal it's Maggie. She's the one who's been hunting humans, and she's got another one picked out for tonight. Maggie invites Monroe to come along but he says he doesn't do that anymore. Upset, she calls him weak and takes off. Monroe heads back to camp and tells Iron Hans and Todd what Maggie is up to. When Nick calls, Monroe reveals Maggie is the killer and gives him Maggie's whereabouts. As Nick, Hank and Wu drive down the highway, they find a hitchhiker's backpack left unattended and hear screams. But instead of finding another body, they find Maggie, stabbed in the stomach. The hitchhiker soon pops out, shrieking about an animal. Iron Hans and Todd arrive shortly after but despite Nick's best efforts, Maggie can't be saved. With her last words, she tells her family she wishes they had included her in their hunts. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, Nick, and Juliette proves it when she gets her revenge on Nick in the worst way imaginable. What begins as Juliette ripping pages out of a book on Hexenbiests turns into a blaze she ignites inside the trailer. For her last act, Juliette calls Nick and tells him he might want to stop by the trailer. Nick, echoing all of us, asks, "What have you done?"
