TRAMA
Un'adolescente viene ritrovata in fin di vita in un vicolo nel quartiere di Hell's Kitchen. Benson soccorre la ragazza che però muore poco dopo.
A schoolgirl is raped and assaulted and later dies in the OR before Benson is able to get a full rape kit, leaving her perp a mystery. A bottle of pills found on her leads Benson and Stabler to a dealer who sold her the pills before she met a date at a sleazy hotel. The hotel clerk sends them up to Ben Dover's room, apparently her friend for the night. There, they find a hat she was wearing which leads them to Barney's department store, and subsequently, they learn the girl was a shoplifter. Her criminal record reveals her identity, Patricia Stephens, a judge's step-daughter. Patricia, a rebellious teen, turns out to have been playing pen pal to convicts who were all sentenced by same person, Judge Thornburg, her step-father. When Judge Thornburg is shot, Tommy Gordon, a paroled convict and one of Patricia's pen pals goes under investigation. His interrogation reveals that he didn't kill Patricia, rather she was hiring him to kill her father. Motive? Sexual abuse and giving birth to his baby who is now disguised as her brother. But when prints from the bottle that killed Patricia comes back, the killer is surprisingly not her sick step-father, but her mother who was dying to cover up the father-daughter relationship.
