TRAMA
Il corpo di una giovane donna viene ripescato nel fiume. Dalle indagini si scopre che dietro c'e' la Outfit, una grossa organizzazione malavitosa, i cui membri sono ben noti a Voight.
Voight (Jason Beghe) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) look into the discovery of a decapitated head in Lake Michigan. On further investigation - and with the retrieval of the rest of the body - the unit determines that the victim was a stripper at one of the clubs owned by The Outfit, Chicago's notorious wing of organized crime. This also puts Lindsay and Voight at odds because The Outfit includes members of Voight's social circle, a detail Lindsay doesn't want to see impede the investigation. A tangled investigation ensues that involves a framed mob enforcer, a check-laundering scheme, a hushed-up pregnancy and Voight going toe-to-toe with the head of The Outfit. When the pieces all fall into place, the woman's murderer (an Outfit lawyer) is brought to street justice, whisked away in a car by the very people he deceived. Meanwhile, Roman (Brian Geraghty) steps up to help a grieving mother in the fight against her abusive husband. After several tense confrontations, and after the husband fails to stay away from his wife, Roman and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) confront the husband at a bar. In a shocking cliffhanger, Roman shoots the husband on a dark street after thinking that the man had pulled a gun. Instead... it was only a cell phone. The episode ends with a frantic Burgess phoning Voight at Molly's for advice on how to proceed.
