TRAMA
Mentre si trova a Las Vegas per indagare sugli ammanchi di denaro di un casino', Walter viene accusato di aver commesso una rapina. Il resto del team deve provare la sua innocenza.
In "Shorthanded," the gang's in Vegas, baby. But this time, they're not worried about losing their shirts. They're worried about losing Walter. After a few successful but covert missions with Agent Gallo, Walter decides that his team should take on a private client, to get more recognition for their work. There's a Vegas casino, The Crimson, which is losing money left and right. Leaving Agent Gallo behind, the gang goes to Vegas to take the private job. Walter makes a quick deal with Toby, who's addicted to gambling. Resist temptation during the entire Vegas trip and Walter will give up his own paycheck to Toby, doubling Toby's salary. Unfortunately, this deal ends quickly when Walter realizes he needs Toby's gambling skills to get himself out of hot water. The Vegas job seems quickly solved when they find a dealer with small hands. Small hands means slower deals which means losing money over time. But their weekend getaway is short-lived when a robbery goes down before their eyes at the casino. Walter is mistakenly framed for the robbery and the gang must band together and work as a team without Walter in order to save him. Walter spends some time in the drunk tank (because the police were worried about his safety if he was with regular prisoners) and Happy, Toby, Sylvester and Paige have to figure out who framed Walter, why they did it and how to get him out of jail. Eventually, the gang discovers that The Crimson was due for a big expansion, but the owner's daughter was not sharing in the profits of that expansion. She's the one who orchestrated the whole robbery, planting the stolen money in Walter's bag. It's an inside job, but with Paige's leadership, the gang is able to crack the case and free water (before he wilts in the drunk tank). Agent Gallo does swoop in at the end to save the troops from a desert shoot out. But once he saves them, he lets everyone into his van for a ride home – except for Walter and Toby. The lesson is – you can go rogue once, but you'll need to find your own way home.
