TRAMA
Avendo al suo attivo una reputazione che e' sinonimo di ordine e giustizia, il commissario James Gordon e' uno dei piu' acerrimi nemici del crimine. Il suo nome e' sulla bocca di tutti. Ma cosa si sa della sua rapida ascesa all''interno del corpo di polizia da inesperto detective a brillante commissario? E che cosa l'ha spinto ad attaccare gli strati di corruzione che, nel silenzio generale, hanno attecchito e quindi permesso di dettare legge a Gotham City, terreno fertile per la proliferazione, col passare del tempo, dei piu' emblematici malvagi mai apparsi sulla faccia di questa Terra? Gotham e' l'antefatto di un classico della DC Comics (Batman), in cui si rivela un intero nuovo capitolo mai narrato prima.
After Thomas and Martha Wayne are mugged and shot by a masked criminal with shiny shoes which is witnessed by Selina Kyle, rookie detective James Gordon is paired up with detective Harvey Bullock to find the person responsible. After Gordon meets Bruce Wayne and his butler Alfred Pennyworth, he and Bullock pursue Mario Pepper, the main suspect of the Waynes' murder, who Bullock ends up killing in self-defense. Gordon later learns that Pepper was framed. He learns about the corruption in the Gotham City government and the police department after he and Bullock are saved from the henchmen of mobstress Fish Mooney by Mafia boss Carmine Falcone. Before faking the death of Fish Mooney's rookie member Oswald Cobblepot, Gordon hears from Cobblepot that there is a war coming, with Falcone's rivals planning to claim his territory. Gordon visits Bruce again and tells him the truth about Pepper being framed, but convinces him to keep it a secret so that he can find the real killer. As Gordon leaves, Kyle is seen outside the property of Wayne Manor.
