TRAMA

La squadra vittime speciali si occupa della scomparsa di una ragazza che lavora presso un'agenzia di appuntamenti. Nel frattempo il rapporto tra Benson ed Haden diventa sempre piu' stretto…

Benson and Haden leave a movie theater together. They laugh and seem to be on an enjoyable date as Haden wraps his arms around Benson, until she hesitates and backs away. Haden reassures her that they can take it slow if that's what she wants. Benson smiles, thinks that's the perfect thing to do. Back at Benson's apartment, they are looking through Chinese take-out menus when they begin to passionately kiss. "Is this what you mean by taking it slow?" Benson asks. Haden gently tells Benson that he understands a relationship is hard for her, but no matter what happened to her in the past, he can handle it. Benson reassuringly smiles as they embrace. Brewster, an average looking man, and his dog Orion take a newspaper from a NYC street kiosk. He turns to the back of the paper for the female escorts page and calls one of the advertisements. He requests a girl for a date; he'll pay cash since his wife looks at the credit card statements. At a middle-class apartment building, 16-year-old Haley lies to her mother that she just got a last-minute catering job and needs to head out. Later that night, Haley and Brewster have just finished dinner and walk back to his truck. She cautiously looks inside and notices Orion sitting in back, behind a cage. Brewster opens the door for her but she's reluctant to go in. Brewster reassures her it's okay, as Orion gently sniffs her. Later, the rain hits against the truck's windshield as Benson drives and Orion is in the front passenger seat. In the back we hear cries of "help" from a bruised Haley. She is clutching the dog cage and begging for her life, "Please, I don't want to die." "That's up to you…" Brewster coldly answers back. Benson and Amaro listen to a voicemail from Haley as her mother holds back tears of fear. "Mom… I'm a bad girl… I have sex with men for money." Haley's voice cracks in distress as the message abruptly ends; Haley was obviously forced to say those words. Later, Finn and Rollins question Stella, the head of Haley's catering company, to learn that it's really a front for an escort service. Stella swears that she had no idea Haley was really 16. She tells the detectives that she set Haley up with a first-time caller and they were supposed to meet for dinner; the client wanted a "girlfriend experience." He paid in cash and said his name was Brewster. Finn and Rollins question another escort service about a missing girl the same age as Haley. The boss of the service reluctantly tells them that the missing girl, Roxy, was his top earner when she disappeared. He looks through his files and finds that Roxy's last client was a man who paid cash named Brewster. At the squad room, Rollins runs down what they know about Haley and Roxy. They both disappeared after a date with a man named Brewster. Captain Cragen tells Finn and Rollins to check out the other escort agencies to see if they have similar missing girls, and tells Benson to canvas all the restaurants near the location where Haley and Brewster met up; maybe a waiter remembers them. Somewhere in the woods, Orion barks wildly as he chases a screaming and bruised Haley. She's being hunted and tries to rest behind a tree, but Brewster fires a hunting rifle and a dart hits a tree a couple inches from her head. Back in the squad room, Finn has found an escort named Miranda who remembers a guy fitting Brewster's description. At the end of the "date" he tried to get her into his truck, but she refused and walked away when she felt he was acting suspicious. Miranda looks through mug shots at the squad room but fails to find someone who looks familiar. She tells them that Brewster seemed pleasant at first, but when she went to his car, she saw shovels in his trunk. He wanted to take her to a beach, but she felt spooked and backed away. She describes the dog that was with him, he had a tail like a raccoon. Based on the information Miranda's given them, they narrow down that Brewster might live near Dead Horse Bay. Benson and Amaro drive there and find a patrol officer who remembers seeing a dog on the local beach fitting the description of the one they're looking for. Later at the beach, crime techs comb the sand with search dogs and find numerous bodies buried within. The SVU squad uncovers six bodies under the sand; luckily Haley is not one of them. The techs believe that Brewster killed the women elsewhere and buried the bodies at the beach. Now they just need to find out where his killing fields are. Later, the ME tells the detectives that all the victims had horse tranquilizer in their system, "The perfect way to control his victims," Benson surmises. The ME IDs the body that is in front of them as Roxy, one of their first missing escorts. Luckily the ME has found evidence of ticks on her body. They will be able to test the tick DNA and specifically find out what woods she was in before she died. Later, the ME arrives with the tick DNA results; the Catskill Mountains match the DNA as Brewster's possible killing fields. Benson and Amaro find a Jane Doe who escaped Brewster - she's at a mental institution where she's been housed for years. Her name is Lizzy and she's frantic as Benson tries to talk with her about Brewster. She tells them about "the game," how he would set her free in the woods and then hunt her down with his dog like she was a wild animal. Back at SVU, the squad figures out Brewster's location thanks to the information Lizzy was able to give them. It's a game preserve in the Catskills maintained by a Graham Winger, a man who fits Brewster's description. "The bastard likes to hunt, let's see how he likes being in the crosshairs," Benson says as they head out. Soon Benson, Amaro, and SWAT search the woods until they find a lone cabin. They enter the cabin and find a sedated Haley chained to a bed. Benson tries to talk with her as the others continue their search for Brewster. Suddenly Benson turns around and finds Brewster pointing his gun at her; she's trapped. Brewster takes Benson hostage and tells her she has no way out, he knows the woods better then anyone. As Brewster is about to kill Benson, he's suddenly shot by Amaro who arrives at the last second. Back at SVU, Cragen congratulates Amaro on his clean shooting and informs everyone that Haley is in the ICU but she's going to make it. Later, Amaro calls his wife in Afghanistan to make sure she's doing okay. He tells her what happened with the case, although he lies and says Brewster was captured, not killed. He tells his wife to stay safe as he hangs up and sits by himself, thinking about the ramifications of his first kill in the line of duty.
