TRAMA

Tre ragazzi sono sospettati di violenza quando la teenager Jennifer Durning scompare dopo aver trascorso con loro una notte di festa.

The SVU teams halts a flight to Rio and arrests Doug Waverly, 17, before entering a high school prom rally and arresting Nick Pratt, 17, and Jason King, 15, all for the rape and murder of 17-year old visiting student Jennifer Durning. Without a body however, Novak is unable to reason Judge Ridenour out of dismissing the charges and the boys are set free. Benson, Stabler, and Cragen order DNA tests of all the boys and slowly persuade them with photo evidence of the rape and testimony obtained from the victim's friend until Nick and Doug's story emerges as contradictory to Jason's. Novak finally gets Jason to reveal his solid alibi as he fled the scene when the other two decided to kill Jennifer after all three had sex with her, but when Jason and his family go into hiding before the trial, Jason mysteriously turns up missing. With her key witness nowhere to be found, Novak drags the trial out to buy time, but when it becomes clear they don't have Jason, the prosecution gives up and the trial is dismissed. Stabler, Benson, and Cragen continue their search for Jennifer and now Jason when hotel video surveillance shows the town drunk, Willis, entering and leaving via elevator on Jennifer's hotel floor. A loony Willis admits to being paid 50 bucks by Nick and Doug to make the phone call that drew Jennifer out of the hotel and into the boys? car, and when the leak in the Judge's office confesses to aiding in the boys' kidnap of Jason, the team has all the info it needs. SVU canvasses along the waterfront and finds Jason's body, as it appears they now have enough evidence to convict Nick and Doug of at least the second murder.
