Si è tenuta la cerimonia di premiazione della 18esima edizione dei Teen Choice Awards il 31 luglio 2016 nel The Forum di Inglewood, California.

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Kendall Jenner, Flo-Rida sono solo alcuni tra i premiati nelle categorie di Cinema, televisione, musica, web/digital e moda. Il film d'azione piu' votato è Deadpool, mentre altri film premiati sono Captain America: Civil War e Ride Along 2. Tra gli attori premiati anche Dylan O'Brien, Shailene Woodley, Chris Evans,Jennifer Lawrence, Zac Efron, Chloë Grace Moretz.

A presentare la serata Victoria Justice e John Cena. Tra i performer della serata: Flo Rida in "My House", "Good Feeling", "Wild Ones" (ft. Bebe Rexha) e "Zillionaire", Charlie Puth in "We Don't Talk Anymore", Serayah in "Look But Don't Touch", Ne-Yo in "What's Going On" e Jason Derulo in "Kiss the Sky".
